Ah yes.

Okay folks. I don't know how much I'll be able to post over the next few weeks. I have the last bits of homework for my classes to finish up this week and next week I have finals. It could be a little bit hairy.

It's time to share a bit. I am somewhat of a knife enthusiast. Scratch that, I'm somewhat of a shiny-pointy-sharp-object enthusiast.

Generally speaking, I carry a folding knife in my back pocket. I sense that some of you may be asking why.

There are a few reasons. One, I tend to walk or bike on campus during the night hours. I like the feeling that I wouldn't be entirely defenseless. Two, a properly sharpened knife is incredibly useful in my new line of work. I have to cut cords and cables and such all the time. Three, did I mention that I like knives?

So, normally I buy a veritably cheap knife that's on sale at some random sporting goods store. They generally cost about $10 to $15. I have to replace the knife every two or three months. The simple fact of the matter is that I don't feel like spending the better part of an hour sharpening a knife that I didn't pay a whole bunch for and isn't worth a whole heap of money in the first place.

So, I have been searching for a new knife.

Last night, I was watching a movie with my parents and my dad was looking at a catalogue. He handed it to me and I started looking through it. I found my new knife. It's beautiful.

But flipping through that catalogue got me thinking. This is an incredible sight with lots of quality products at extremely reduced prices. Why have I not shared this with you guys before?!?

Please excuse my tardiness in this matter. But, the Sierra Trading Post is well worth a gander.

For our foreign friends, they do international orders as well.

Enjoy.

Those ninja throwing stars are pretty cool too.

When I was a kid, I was the only girl I knew that had one.

Chickie: do you still have it?

Mack the knife... hehe. That's actually a horrible song, I hate to say it. But its awful. Read the lyrics, you'll know what I mean. Sorry buddy.

James - I've read the lyrics. I still like the song.

Chickie - I have to echo Anne. Do you still have it?

I like the song, too, and I of all the different versions, I like Armstrong's best.

Just wanted to drop you a line, Joe, to say I'm thinking of you this week. I know it's probably finals, or the week before, and it will be a while before you have the time to post anything new, but I wanted to check in and send sympathetic thoughts anyway. After like 17 years of college, I feel your pain.

You're a smart guy. I know you'll do well.

Anne - Finals start tomorrow. It looks like everything should turn out alright. I'm not sure if I can properly express the next sentence, as I'm fairly poor with words... but here goes.

I REALLY appreciate the encouragement. Thanks.

You're good with words; give yourself some credit.

And I know you'll do well. I think I speak for everybody here when I say we believe in you.
