nap time

So, I'm stuck. There's this girl who I've only seen once. I know her name. I know that she is fascinating and gorgeous.

But the problem is that I can't get her out of my head. Like I said, I'm stuck.

As far as I can tell, the next time I would end up seeing her is at the end of the month. That's just too much time. I can easily overthink everything about five times over. Normally, I would dismiss her into the realm of "unattainables." Yet, I can't do that this time. Everything in my psyche screams that I must at least try to win her attention/affection.

But, what I am supposed to do? Sit here until the next time I'm positive that I can see her? Pray that fate will bring her into my path? Neither of these am I content with, because I have courage now but I might not in a month. I don't seem to have a choice though.

If anyone has any advice, you have to let me know. Until then, I'm going to collapse on my bed...

Don't lose hope, Joe. You're a stud. Perhaps waiting until the end of the month is a good thing. It will allow your studliness to brew to its maximum stud potential, a rich and undeniable brew of manliness.

Well Joe, not that I'm Deuce Bigalow or anything but there seems to be too many variables for me to even try solving your problem. First of all, is she the outgoing type -- preppy, popular, etc. If so you might want to play it easy, but if she is a little awkward then the game becomes a little easier. Personally I like the awkward type, let the brain-dead daddy's boys have the bimbos. Anyway -- God I know it sounds trite -- but if it was meant to be, then there is no way you can screw it up. (Unless you're into chugging tequila at 9 a.m. and scratching yourself in public.) Best of luck.

Nice J, that was hilarious. I almost shot water out my nose.

But seeing as how I'm not in a habit of doing either, I'll take that as a good sign.

Find her and tell her what you just told us. Tell her that she is fascinating and gorgeous and that you can't get her out of your head. Tell her you'd normally dismiss her as unattainable, but that she's so special you have to at least try this time. Tell her that you know you'd run into her at the end of the month, but are afraid that if you waited that long, you might lose courage.

I promise, the world is FILLED with fascinating and gorgeous women who have NEVER heard anything like that. If anyone ever said anything even a fraction as romantic to me, I'd burst into tears, and never leave him.

Eric, the tranquilizer gun thing doesn't work, trust me. I have the lawsuits to prove it. Of course you could do like in that movie "Boxing Helena," but that might not be a good idea for the faint of heart.

Anne Arkham is right Joe. And just be yourself. That's what you want her to like you for anyway, otherwise it will never last.

well, be yourself as long as yourself isn't scratching in public after chugging tequila at 9 a.m.

I'd vote with Anna, after all she is the only female whose chiming in here
