I find myself watching a mediocre vampire movie at 1:30 in the morning. I have a headache, but I can't stop watching this.
Here's the thing. I've always been fascinated with mythologies. The Trojans, Beowolf, King Arthur, Dracula.
Dracula.
Dracula has always (for some unknown reason) been more interesting than any other lore. It's not that I envy Dracula. It's certainly not that I want to drink blood. It's odd. It's very odd. And very dark.
I think the truth of the matter is that Dracula is a clear-cut villain. And I watch in awe as some random mortal decides to take him on.
I've mentioned that I play video games. One of my favorite series of games is "Castlevania." The story for each game is always the same general concept. The gameplay differs only slightly from one sequel to the next. There's just something about it that I can't get enough of.
Unfortunately, I don't know where I'm going with this either. I just wanted to get it out there and out of my system. Call me stupid or crazy if you'd like...

Jude - Yeah. Robert (R.Fuel) is my brother. He's three years older than me. I think he's an excellent photographer. Of course, you're welcome to leave comments on his blog too. He doesn't mind, I promise.
As for this Dracula fascination, I don't quite know why I decided to post it. It was just one of those incomplete thoughts that you have to voice one way or another. Oh well. Thanks for the input!
Dracula is my favorite book of all time. I have an old paperback copy that I bought in fifth grade and I read it every year at Christmas. (Not sure what that means.) It's old and falling apart - the price marked on the cover is $0.59 - but it's easily my favorite book.
There's a new vampire book out right now called 'The Historian'. It's pretty good. The vampires are old school, which is what I like.
Anne - This is probably going to offend you, but I actually haven't read Dracula. Sounds stupid, after all. However, up until recently, I haven't been a big fan of reading. And now that I am a fan of reading, I have little time to do it. Hopefully, I'll be able to read it someday...
In conclusion, sorry to offend you.
You haven't offended me, I promise.
I have a very big collection of vampire literature and reference. I was going to blog it at some stage, so maybe soon (I promised weirdpixie a while back I believe).
