simply beautiful

So, I sit here, in my bedroom. The blinds are open for the first time in months. I can't help it though.

It's raining right now. The rain is glorious to me. I have friends who say their day is ruined by rain. I've never understood that. There's something tremendously gorgeous about the rain.

I've grown up in the desert. There's not a whole bunch of water. So, when water begins to fall from the sky, it is simply breath-taking.

So, I'm sitting here. I've turned off all the lights in my room. There's only this monitor right now. I've got TM Juke playing. This night could not be anymore resplendent.

With you on the rain thing. Down here we are in severe drought. This country is 90% desert as it is, but right now, things are looking pretty grim. Did someone say 'Global Warming...'?

Hey Joe: stay tuned for my Rain Project on The Cow. Not sure when, but soon.

Will do, sir.

Interesting little tidbit, String Theorists think that the world will end in a big freeze. There may be some hope yet.

I think the world will end in a flood caused by when all the washing machines in your apartments break down in unison.

or caused when

I agree.

There's nothing like the sound of rain assaulting a rooftop while your nose fills with that musty clean smell.

Sir? Isn't that what they call you when you're really old?

That always gets me in trouble. It's kind of a habit of mine. I do, however, enjoy calling one of my uncle's "sir." I'd REALLY pisses him off.

Us old guys, Anne Arkham, appreciate that the youngsters show us such respect. You don't listen to her young Joe. She's evil and playing with your mind.

I get in moods where it is almost meditation to watch a good rain storm, then to smell and feel it when its all over or almost done.
