Good news (continued)

Well, tomorrow I start my new job. I'm thrilled. Still, I'm leaving the first job I ever had. So, I thought I'd let you guys in on the email that I sent out to my coworkers...

Well guys,

As some of you may know, I've been offered a different position with ICT. So, tonight was my last shift as a Supervisor (as far as I know). I was hired to work in the labs just over 2 years ago. There have been a lot of changes since then. Most have been for the better.

To the new hires - This is a job. It may be an easy one, but it's a job none-the-less. Treat it as such and take it seriously.

To the older LAs - Just because I won't be there to give you a hard time, doesn't mean you don't have to keep up the good work.

To the sups - Thanks for a rather eventful year. Don't have too much fun with that new desk position...

To the higher-ups - Thanks for putting up with me. Although, I'm sure this won't be the last time that you'll see me around.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to email me or call me. You're also welcome to say hi should you see me sometime.

Thanks again guys,
Joe Fuel

Daily Ditty:
The Killers - Andy, You're a Star

(A note to my brother, James - The Daily Ditty doesn't always have anything to do with the post. If the lyrics don't show some sort of obvious connection, there are three possibilities:
1) It's the song that's been running through my head all day
2) It's the song that I was listening to when I finished the post.
3) There's some obscure connection to the post that only I know about.

This Ditty would fall under #3. The lyrics have nothing to do with the post. But I feel like it would be an awesome song to play after the final battle scene in some good action movie, as the hero is walking away from the battle zone.) (OK, that note might have been for Anaglyph too....)

... or as the hero is walking away from the battle zone into the maw of Hell...

Not that you should read anything into that. Great work on the getting the new job and congratulations.

You know, I'm not sure I can take much credit for actually getting the job. It just kind of fell into my lap. (No, I'm certainly not complaining.)

But I sure hope that setting up A/V systems on the New Mexico State campus isn't akin to walking into the jaws of Hades. Oh well, at least it pays better!

Seriously though, many thanks to everyone for their encouragement.

if you ARE going into the maw of Hell, please watch where you step. you don't want to know what may stick to the bottom of your shoes.

Yeah, Yeah, I know, I was kidding last time. But this time Joe, you're the star.
