each morning for the past two weeks or so, i wake up and watch the Tour de France as i eat my breakfast. after taking a shower and getting dressed and doing the rest of my morning routine, i hop on my bicycle and head off to work.
while pedalling my happy behind to wherever my work takes me, i have nearly the same series of thoughts...
THOUGHT 1: "that huge truck is about to run me over and cripple me for life. i'll bet that guy can't even see me. i'm about to die."
THOUGHT 2 (which is very quickly followed by number 3): "i wonder if i could keep up with Lance Armstrong..."
THOUGHT 3: "not a chance, moron. Lance Armstrong is just about the closest thing you've ever seen to a real-life Superman. you can keep up with him when your feet evolve into rocket-packs."
however, none of those thoughts went through my head this morning. there was just one thing on my mind...
"my butt REALLY hurts!"
you see, i started a new leg workout yesterday. let me quickly explain something, i have not done a leg workout in months because it was getting to be a serious difficulty to bike to my classes. i decided that my classes were more important than my leg strength. but, i'm not taking any classes at the moment and thought it might be good idea to start working out my legs some more.
i saw a nice, quick leg workout on the Men's Health website and thought it would be a good way to start. you can take a look at it here.
that was a horrible idea. because my behind REALLY hurts and now biking to work may not be such a bright idea...
