i was reading my roommate's Wired magazine last night.

they had an interview with the guys from the band Gorillaz. it's really interesting.

the band doesn't actually exist. with modern recording technology and sampling, one man creates all the music. another guy just draws the characters who are supposed to be in the band. so, the band is essentially ficticious.

in any case, the guy in charge of all the sketches and such (Jamie Hewlett) said something wasn't really profound, but just true.

"...One day, we were home watching MTV with our eyes just kind of glazed. Because if you watch MTV for too long, it's a bit like hell - there's nothing of substance there."


Amen to that, brother. Amen to that...
